GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - Most of the Big Bend and South Georgia have received a good amount of rain over the last week, but much of North Florida and South Georgia is still listed as severe to extreme on the recent drought monitor .

One local leader in Gadsden County is alerting cattle ranchers that if they suffered grazing losses during the dry season, they may be eligible for compensation through the Livestock Forage Disaster Program .
