Forbes has released its latest class of innovators and rising stars as part of its 30 Under 30 series, and a Massachusetts-built talent earned a spot for impact that extends far beyond basketball.
Aliyah Boston, a 23-year-old WNBA star, was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Sports category for her excellence on and off the court. She was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA draft and has earned Rookie of the Year, All-Star, and All-WNBA honors while helping the Indiana Fever reach the playoffs.
Boston’s rise began in Worcester, where she starred at Worcester Academy. She became a McDonald’s All-American and a three-time Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year, achievements that put her on the national radar.
Worcester Academy retired her No. 00 jersey, a first in school history, cementing her legacy in the city where her journey began.
Off the court, Boston continues to expand her influence. She co-hosts the "Post Moves" podcast with WNBA legend Candace Parker and has invested in Boston Legacy FC, the city’s new National Women’s Soccer League franchise. The moves highlight her commitment to growing opportunities for women in sports and her rising profile as a business leader.
