After stunning the baseball world by agreeing to a three-year, $69 million deal with the Dodgers, Edwin Díaz donned his new blue and white jersey on Friday afternoon at a news conference, making the pact official.

And make no mistake: Díaz has lofty ambitions for his cross-country move.

"It wasn't easy [to leave the Mets]. They treated me great," Díaz said. "I chose the Dodgers because they're a winning organization, and they have everything to win. It will be pretty easy to win."

Díaz consulted with his brother -- fellow reliever Alexis Díaz, who spent time with the Dodgers in 2025 -- before making his decision.

"He told me the Dodgers are a really good organization," Edwin Díaz said. "He made it easy for me."
