TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A water main was struck by a worker on Friday, but residents in the neighborhood are not without water service.

On Dec. 12, Tucson Water told News 4 Tucson that a 36-inch water main was hit by a contractor who was not a City of Tucson worker. The contractor is with a company that was reportedly doing work in the area when the incident happened.

Tucson Water said customers near Park Avenue and Wyoming Street are not out of water service, and the incident is under control.

However, Tucson Water stated the roadway could possibly stay closed throughout the weekend.
