ROSENDALE- On Christmas Day, as kitchens fill with the aromas of holiday meals, the American Legion Post 1219 in Tillson opens its doors to something even more special: a celebration of community. The Annual Christmas Day C.H.E.F.S. Dinner—short for Community Holiday Event For Sharing —will once again bring neighbors together for a festive meal that’s free and open to all.

From noon to 2 p.m. on December 25, anyone can stop by the Legion hall at 794 Springtown Road, where volunteers will be serving turkey, ham, hearty sides, and homemade desserts. But the real draw of the event is not just the food—it’s the spirit of togetherness that fills the room each year.
