Former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore appeared in court today, facing charges connected to what prosecutors described as a threatening and emotionally volatile incident inside a woman’s apartment.

Moore was fired from his position as head football coach with cause on Wednesday evening after he allegedly engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

Moore is charged with third-degree home invasion, misdemeanor stalking, and entry without permission. According to prosecutors, the incident began after the woman ended a long-term relationship with Moore on Monday.
