UNITY TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

The Westmoreland County Airshow is grounded for 2026, officials with the airport authority announced Friday.

The annual two-day event, which has welcomed the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds and Snowbirds, for example, will likely not be back at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport until 2027, for its 101st event. Advertisement

The announcement comes amid the airport’s ongoing terminal expansion project as well as a 2026 scheduling issue for the event's main attraction.

Gabe Monzo, executive director of the Westmoreland County Airport Authority, said his team was informed there wasn’t going to be a jet team available this year, so they made the tough call to not host an airshow.
