Verona, N.Y. - A UPS driver was struck by a car that fled the scene on Friday afternoon in Oneida County, according to State Police.
The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Wynn Hospital in Utica for treatment, troopers said.
Around 12:50 p.m., troopers were called to Route 365 near DG Market, at 5078 Route 365 in the town of Verona, State Police said in a news release.
The UPS employee had walked out in front of their truck on the west shoulder when the vehicle struck the worker, troopers said.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be gray or metallic in color, troopers said.
