GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Former state Sen. Lynne Walz is traveling across Nebraska this week on a listening tour to gather input from communities before making a decision about entering the 2026 gubernatorial race.
Walz announced last November that she would be taking steps toward a potential run for Nebraska governor. The tour kicked off Wednesday in Fremont and will hit cities across Nebraska before finishing in Omaha Saturday afternoon.

Members of the community gathered at the Travelers Taproom in Grand Island to participate in Walz’s listening session. More than 40 people attended the event, where Walz wrote concerns on a board before discussing issues with the audience.
