MANCHESTER, N.H. —

New Hampshire's two largest cities are on track to see the fewest suspected opioid overdoses in a decade.

Data from the ambulance company AMR show Manchester and Nashua saw 31 overdoses in November, which is a record low.

According to AMR Northeast Regional Director Chris Stawasz, there has also been a decline in the number of unhoused people suffering from overdoses.

"We attribute that to the work that's been going forward in both communities and a number of communities around New Hampshire to focus on the unhoused population and get them into housing and get them into treatment," Stawasz said. "I think that's made a significant difference."
