WASHINGTON — Comedian and actress Amy Schumer said she and chef Chris Fischer, her husband of seven years, are getting divorced.

The "Trainwreck" actress posted the news to Instagram Friday evening along with a photo of the duo together while on the subway.

"Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years," she wrote in the caption. "We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son."

She asked for privacy for their family and clarified the decision was not made because she "dropped some lbs\" or because "he’s a hot [James] beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail."

She described the decision as "difficult" but "amicable."

The two got married in 2018 after romance rumors a year prior, according to PEOPLE
