With the help of Phil Trautwein, Vega Ioane went from last-minute signing day addition to Penn State All-American.

Now both offensive lineman and coach are set to leave the Nittany Lions.

Ioane, who earned the first of what could be multiple All-America honors on Friday, announced earlier in the day that he would be opting out of the Lions’ Pinstripe Bowl matchup against Clemson.

Trautwein, meanwhile, is the latest of former coach James Franklin’s staff who will be changing jobs. The long-time offensive line coach for Penn State is leaving for the same role with his alma mater, Florida.
