A severe cold wave has tightened its grip across Odisha, with minimum temperatures plunging below 10 degrees Celsius in several parts of the state. In view of the prevailing conditions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for multiple districts, cautioning that cold wave conditions are likely to persist over the next few days.
As per weather data recorded on Friday, G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district emerged as the coldest place in the state, registering a minimum temperature of 3.1 degrees Celsius. Semiliguda recorded 3.6 degrees, followed by Phulbani at 5.5 degrees.
