CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The man accused of killing a missing Charlotte mother earlier this week was on supervised probation at the time of her murder, an October news release by the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s office shows.
Lorenza Inman Jr. is accused of killing Frezja Baker on Dec. 4, one week before Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they found Baker’s body in her car behind a Charlotte church .
Inman Jr.’s criminal history dates back nearly two decades, jail records show.
A jury convicted him in 2019 for attempted murder, after he followed a man to a Charlotte shopping center, shot him in the chest, then fired several more times while standing over the victim, the district attorney’s office said in a February 2019 news release .
