ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A vacant house in Dutchtown was boarded up Friday after months of squatter activity at the property where two women died in a fire this summer.

The house on Kingsland Court has been empty since July 15, when Elizabeth Pfaff and Sherry Larose died in a fire that started in the kitchen area, according to the St. Louis Fire Department. Neighbors say the women were sisters.

Jennifer Dickson, who lives next to the property, said people have been coming and going from the vacant house since the fire.

“We’d be sitting outside in the summer, sitting on the porch, and people would just be walking right in, so a lot of police calls,” Dickson said.
