ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Bitter cold will descend on the area this weekend. Temperatures are expected to drop into the single digits, creating a busy period for heating and cooling companies while providing ideal conditions for winter sports.
Hidden Valley Ski Resort finished preparations Friday to open for the season Saturday, marking one of the earliest openings in years, according to General Manager Jesse Kimes.
“It’s going to be cold, so if you’re coming out, bundle up. It’s going to be really really chilly both Saturday and Sunday,” Kimes said.
The resort expects a busy weekend as the cold temperatures allow for optimal snow-making conditions.
