The Telangana government has announced the holiday list for all state govt general holidays in 2026, including occasions and festivals falling on Sunday. It has also notified all optional holidays, which also include occasions and festivals falling on Sunday.

The Telangana government directs that all offices under the state government will remain closed on all Sundays and second Saturdays in all the months during the year 2026.

In addition to general holidays, state government employees can avail up to five optional holidays in 2026 from the optional holiday list, at their discretion and regardless of the religion of the festival, says the state government.
