Eddie Howe has made it clear that Newcastle United will not be in survival mode when they step on to the pitch at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
It's been uttered, albeit through gritted teeth, that a draw could be a decent result against a Sunderland side that have enjoyed a solid start to the season. A point in the pocket on Wearside, then a victory at St James' Park in March is an outcome some supporters would take if offered.
However, there are others who only have tunnel vision for a victory against the Black Cat s - and Howe is in that category too. When asked if he'd take a draw, with Newcastle having only one away win since April in the Premier League, Howe said: "No chance.
"We prepare every game to win. This will be no different."
