Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed her deep shock and announced a high-level committee to probe the mismanagement at the Lionel Messi event in Kolkata.

Thousands of fans, along with the Chief Minister, were present at the Salt Lake stadium to witness the football star, only for the event to descend into chaos.

Justice (Retd.) Ashim Kumar Ray will lead the inquiry committee, tasked with determining responsibility and recommending future preventive measures. Apologies have been extended to Messi and fans for the unfortunate incident.
