A dream home for railway enthusiasts has hit the market at a steal – a train carriage transformed into a luxury holiday cottage is up for grabs for just £70,000.
The Stannington Pullman, a 75ft (23m) long converted railway carriage, has been fully refurbished to accommodate up to four people. It also boasts a touch of Hollywood glamour as it sits on the tracks used in the original Mission Impossible film.
Co-owner Emma Williams bought the 1978 train from a rolling stock company after it ended its working life in 2020, having served inter-city routes to London and later around the East Midlands.
She then set about transforming the carriage into a stunning home complete with gas central heating, a separate shower room/toilet, two bedrooms and a fully-fitted shaker-style kit
