0$1 million Powerball ticket sold in Lanham as jackpot climbs to $1 billion
Lanham, MD – A Powerball player who bought a ticket at a 7-Eleven in Lanham is now sitting on a $1 million winner after narrowly missing the record-chasing jackpot in Wednesday night’s drawing, as the top prize rockets to a staggering $1 billion.
The ticket, purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 7730 Finns Lane, matched all five white balls drawn—but not the red Powerball—earning its holder a second-tier prize of $1 million. As of Thursday, the winner had not yet come forward.
Two other Maryland players also won big in the December 10 drawing. One ticket sold at the Jameson-Harrison American Legion Post 238 in Hughesville matched four white balls and the Powerball with the Power Play option, netting $150,000. An
