Aldi has issued an urgent recall of a Christmas food item which shoppers are warned could pose a "possible health risk" if consumed.

The supermarket is recalling its Perfect Christmas Mozzarella Sticks in Blankets due to them containing an "undeclared" allergen. As the product was labelled incorrectly and did not declare this allergen upon its packaging, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned the item could pose a "health risk" to some shoppers.

Aldi's Perfect Christmas Mozzarella Sticks in Blankets contain the undeclared allergen egg, and the FSA is warning any shoppers with an allergy to egg to not consume the item.
