The National Association of Realtors has revealed its top 10 homebuying markets for 2026, and the Holy City was flagged as the place to move.
“Housing Hot Spots for 2026: The Markets Poised for New Buyer Opportunities” was released Dec. 9 and listed 10 areas based on economic, demographic and housing factors.
In addition to Charleston , the list included, in alphabetical order, Charlotte, including nearby South Carolina communities; Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Minneapolis-St. Paul; Raleigh; Richmond, Va.; Salt Lake City; and Spokane, Wash.
The top spots outperform the average market in the U.S. on at least five of 10 economic, demographic and housing indicators; have populations of more than 250,000; and demonstrate meaningful 2026 opportunities for homebuye
