MYRTLE BEACH — Mary Carnevale didn't mind her daughter missing school on Dec. 12.
Carnevale has watched every season of Netflix's "Outer Banks" and her daughter is working her way through the third one. When they found out crews would be at the Socastee Swing Bridge to film for the fifth season, mother and daughter knew where they would be.
"I was like, ‘Alright, they’re filming here?’ I know she’s skipping school,” Carnevale said.
Dec. 12 marked the fourth time since July that crews with the popular coastal adventure drama had tried to film at the bridge. "Outer Banks" often shoots in the Charleston area, but weather had been a problem scheduling shoots up the coast.
