A cordon remains in place at the scene of an explosion which killed two people in south Wales. Here is what we know.

Explosion reported in garden Emergency services were called to the scene of a fire at a home in Heol Fawr, Nelson, near Treharris on Friday evening. At around 6.10pm Gwent Police said it received reports of an explosion in the garden of a property.

Two people pronounced dead Gwent Police said two people were pronounced dead at the scene following the explosion. Their families have been informed.
