Food, drinks and crafts draw crowds to Mifflinburg Christkindl Market

MIFFLINBURG — The Taxacher family says the strudel they serve at the 36th annual Mifflinburg Christkindl Market stands apart from what visitors might find at other German-style markets.

“We bake it here. That’s the big difference between us and other markets,” Amber Taxacher said Friday morning, the second day of the three-day event. “People know it’s special because it’s fresh strudel right out of the oven. You don’t get that anywhere else.”
