ALDERMEN are expected to take a final vote Tuesday on several recreation projects, including a new skate park on the West Side and lighting improvements at Derryfield and Livingston parks, despite concerns raised by some board members over bonding the projects.
The projects include a Manchester Skate Park at Lally Sullivan Complex on Harvell Street behind Dairy Queen, $2.5 million; Al Lemire Field lighting replacement at Derryfield Park, $400,000; Pony League baseball field lighting replacement, $250,000; and Livingston Park field lighting improvement, $150,000.
During a discussion this week, Alderman Crissy Kantor asked if the city had looked into finding grants (like Community Development Block Grants) for the proposal.
