MESA, Ariz. — A fiery crash in Mesa involving two vehicles killed a woman and a 17-year-old and sent several others to the hospital, according to authorities.
Police identified the woman as 39-year-old Dominique Bowie.
The Mesa Police Department said the crash happened at 12:30 a.m. Saturday near Dobson Road and Southern Avenue.
Police said a speeding truck heading west hit another vehicle from behind that had just pulled out from a private drive.
The driver of the truck and a juvenile passenger in the second vehicle both died at the scene.
Responding officers pulled several people from the burning vehicles, and they were taken to the hospital.
"Mesa Fire & Medical credited their actions with preventing further loss of life," police said.
