A man was fatally shot in the East Garfield Park neighborhood early Saturday on the West Side.

At 3:05 a.m., the 24-year-old was shot in the chest in the 700 block of North Lawndale, according to Chicago police.

He was dropped off by friends at Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

No one was in custody.
