Six remaining members of the Rye Twp. Recreation Board all tendered their resignations during the Nov. 18 supervisors’ meeting.

They were Darlene and Glen Campbell, Laura Fedder, Barbara Fitzsimmons and Brenda and Kelly Little. Two other members of the board had stepped down in recent months, leaving the recreation board with no active members.

Several cited declining public participation in events and the current status of the park and playground as reasons for their departure. They also recommended dissolving the board, which was created in 1991.

Solicitor Mike Pykosh advised that since the body was created by an ordinance, it would take an ordinance for dissolution. He also advised that the board could continue to exist without any members. He did, however, recommend advertising for
