NEWARK - Four individuals have been arrested in connection with a mass shooting that killed three people – including a 10-year-old boy – and injured two in Newark on Nov. 15.
On Saturday night, Nov. 15, multiple shots were fired in the 300 block of Chancellor Avenue in Newark’s South Ward. The shooting killed three, including Jordan Garcia, 10, and Kiyah Mae Scott, 21, who were pronounced dead at University Hospital.
Masi Rogers, 19, was in critical condition at University Hospital following the shooting. He died five days later.
Sheppard Miller, 60, and an 11-year-old boy, the brother of Jordan Garcia, whose name is being withheld due to his age, were injured in the shooting and taken to University Hospital. They are now out of the hospital, police said.
