A former Turning Point employee and his teenage daughter are seeking an $11 imillion dollar settlement in a lawsuit against a sitting Avondale council member, a former County Sheriff, the city of Avondale, and Turning Point organizations.

The former employee filed a civil lawsuit last month, accusing Avondale Councilmember Jeannette Garcia of making "aggressive” unwanted sexual advances toward him at an election victory celebration held by Turning Point staffers last year. After he rebuffed her, the complaint alleges Garcia traveled to his home and kidnapped his 14-year-old daughter.
