A new bakery has opened in the city centre with famous faces rolling out the welcome carpet. Insomnia Cookies, a brand with more than 300 stores worldwide, is known for its freshly baked cookies, cookie sandwiches and indulgent shakes served until 5am.

Founded in 2003 by Seth Berkowitz , who came up with the idea as a college student craving late-night treats, the company has since expanded across the UK. Liverpool’s first Insomnia Cookies bakery will open in the former Sips cocktail bar on Slater Street , with doors officially opening on Saturday, December 13.
