How can one person change the world? With love and faith, and sometimes with an otter costume.

Olly Otter was born in 2014. Jamie Ballentine heard a calling into ministry and felt that a mascot could impact families. He began by doing shows at churches as Olly, then changing into his secret identity to speak to those assembled. That led to him becoming pastor of the church he was attending, and he put Olly on the back burner. Otters, however, are very good at staying afloat. Demand for him did not fade, and Jamie changed his plan.

“After about three years it was clear that Olly was not done. I resigned as pastor. We then joined forces with Kid's Day of Lexington and became the official mascot of the organization in March of 2018,” he explains.
