GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is working with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department to determine the cause of a deadly house fire Saturday morning.

According to Sheriff Wesley Holt, first responders went to a home on Goddard Drive after Greene County 911 received a call at around 1 a.m. about a loud noise and a fire in an upstairs bedroom.

On the scene, firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and found the body of 66-year-old Scott Hollenbeck in the bedroom. His body was sent to the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center for an autopsy and formal identification, Holt said.

TBI fire investigators are working with GCSD to determine the cause of the fire. Currently, Holt said the cause is undetermined.
