New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a 22-year-old man, an alleged key member of an interstate firearms syndicate, and recovered 11 semi-automatic pistols from his possession, an official said on Saturday.
The accused, Manpal, son of Kalyan, is a resident of Bijlipura village in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. According to police, Manpal was actively involved in supplying sophisticated firearms to criminals operating in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).
The operation was carried out by a team of the Southern Range of Special Cell led by Inspectors Ranjeet Singh and Sanjeev Kumar under the supervision of ACP Neeraj Kumar.
