An investigation is underway after officials said one person was found dead following a house fire in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

According to officials, around 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, crews were dispatched to the 500 block of Foxwood Lane in Easttown Township, Chester County, after receiving a report about smoke coming from a residence.

Officials said first responders were on scene shortly after the call was dispatched and were met by a family member outside, who stated that someone was still inside the home.

Firefighters entered the home and immediately searched, officials said. The crew found a fire in the basement and one person dead.
