KINIGSTON, N.Y. — The recently released report compiled by a consultant backed by supporters of a Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. has outlined the possibility of an eminent domain process to get it done.

Central Hudson has said repeatedly that the utility is not for sale.

The supporters-funded study said the cost of a takeover would be $3.5 billion. The opponents’ review said the purchase cost would be $7 billion.
