LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - Laurel County leaders and first responders gathered Saturday to provide Christmas gifts for children impacted by the deadly tornado that struck southern Kentucky in May.
The tornado hit nearly seven months ago, leaving numerous Laurel County families without homes or belongings.
Saturday’s toy giveaway aimed to give affected children a Christmas to remember.
“Someone asked me earlier what my favorite toy was as a kid, and I just couldn’t imagine what these kids are going through that lost everything,” said London’s Air Evac Lifeteam program manager Letch Day.
Community donations provide countless toys
