HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Barn Festival Christmas Market, south of Hastings, wrapped up its holiday shopping event, allowing visitors to shop barn to barn for local holiday items.
The market featured snow on the ground and in the air, with lights lining barn roofs as shoppers searched for unique holiday gifts not available at major retailers.
Shoppers said finding unique gifts was a primary reason for attending the Christmas market. Vendors noted similar shopping patterns among customers seeking distinctive items.
“I think so, because maybe somebody took the time to find something unique and special just for that person. And you can’t always find that in big box stores,” said Angie Hemberger, a Barn Festival team member.
