RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - A 10-year-old boy and a 70-year-old woman were found dead after a fire broke out inside a home in Church Hill on Saturday morning.
On Dec. 13, just before 9 a.m., Richmond Fire Department crews rushed to the home on North 22nd Street after receiving reports about a residential structure fire.
Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire conditions and immediately began fire suppression and search-and-rescue operations.
Shortly after crews arrived on scene, a partial structural collapse occurred.
A 70-year-old woman was found on the first floor and pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim, a 10-year-old boy, was later located on the second floor and also pronounced dead.
