FAYETTEVILLE -- New University of Arkansas football Coach Ryan Silverfield will retain tight ends coach Morgan Turner as expected, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette confirmed on Saturday.

Additionally, Clint Trickett has emerged as a top candidate for the Razorbacks' position of quarterbacks coach.

Brandon Marcello of CBS Sports first reported Saturday morning Turner would be held over, which would likely make him the the only returning Arkansas assistant coach from last year's 2-10 team.

Turner, a longtime assistant at Stanford, just finished his third season with the Razorbacks. Tight ends Rohan Jones and Jaden Platt emerged as two of the Razorbacks' top weapons this season.
