DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — One person is dead after they were hit by a FedEx delivery truck Saturday morning, according to DeKalb County Police.

Police said officers were called to reports of a pedestrian being hit on Northlake Parkway at around 11:13 a.m. The driver was still on scene when officers arrived.

According to police, the incident happened near Crescent Center Boulevard. Police said the pedestrian passed away from their injuries.

Preliminary investigation suggests the pedestrian was crossing a private driveway when they were hit by the truck driver trying to make a turn out of the driveway onto Northlake, police said.
