OMAHA, Neb. —
The University of Nebraska Omaha announced it is opting into the NCAA house settlement for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The settlement makes it so schools can directly pay players through licensing deals.
The university said it chose not to opt in back in June for a number of reasons, including honoring financial commitments to student-athletes.
UNO said opting in to the settlement terms aligns them with the majority of Division I peers and allows the university to enhance its ability to attract and retain top student-athletes and coaching talent.
