LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Bitterly cold air will grip the region Sunday morning, with lows potentially dropping below zero and wind chills well below zero.

What to Expect Sunday

Sunday morning could be the coldest of the season so far. Lows range from the negative single digits to the low teens. Even though winds won’t be strong, wind chills could range from the -10 to -20 degree range.

The afternoon will remain cold but slightly less brutal as temperatures climb. However, conditions will still be well below normal for this time of year.

Expect plenty of sunshine, but that won’t warm us up much. There could be some morning freezing fog to the north and west and if so make sure to drive cautiously.
