Kyle voters spent Dec. 13 at the polls to decide the next mayor as part of a runoff election.
Early voting and absentee ballot totals were posted to the Hays County Elections website shortly after 7 p.m.

As of 7 p.m. Dec. 13, Yvonne Flores-Cale led opponent Robert Rizo with about 51.03% of the vote. Flores-Cale, a paralegal, began her campaign to establish a “solid, trustworthy connection” between the city and its residents. “I believe through continued hard work I can build trust in our government, which will provide our residents with an opportunity to focus on other matters in their lives,” she previously told Community Impact.
