The Powerball jackpot rose to $1 billion for the Saturday, Dec. 13, drawing after no one on Wednesday, Dec. 10 , took home the top prize.

If a ticket matches all five numbers plus the Powerball in the 11 p.m. ET drawing, the winner can choose a one-time cash payment of $457.7 million before taxes.

So far, 2025 has been a historic year for the Powerball. Back in September, the second-largest jackpot in the game’s history, which was an estimated $1.787 billion, was won by two tickets sold in Montana and Texas.
