Slogans of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” are being heard in a region where slogans of “Lal Salaam” used to be raised, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said Saturday as he asserted that Bastar is on the edge of being Maoist-free.

Attending the closing ceremony of Bastar Olympics in Chhattisgarh, Shah promised to work hard day and night towards making Bastar the most developed tribal region in the next five years.

Shah said a team from Sports Authority of India (SAI) was in Bastar to choose players from the region and prepare them for the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics.
