GRAND FORKS — Fosston-Bagley's Ian and Eli Phrakonkham come from a family of successful athletes.

Their dad, Saysana Phrakonkham, played college hockey at Bemidji State. Their sister, Ava Phrakonkham, was a multiple-time state champion sprinter in high school and runs for the UND track and field program.

This weekend at Grand Forks Central's 51st annual Sertoma wrestling tournament, the Phrankonkham brothers are showing they can make a name for the family in wrestling, too.

Ian and Eli went unbeaten through the dual tournament at Central, as the senior Ian pushed his career win total for the Brawlers to 132.

Ian and Eli were both 4-0 at the Sertoma.

The two boys are charting a new course, as wrestling was a new sport to the family.
