NEW LONDON, Conn. (WFSB) - Two cars were destroyed as a result of a garage fire in New London on Saturday afternoon.
Around 5:10 p.m, crews responded to 71 Sumner St. for a fire in a three-bay garage that was detached from a home.
According to the fire department, the fire was well-involved.
Firefighters confirmed they were able to contain the fire to the garage and extinguish it within 10 minutes.
They said the garage was significantly damaged and both cars were destroyed.
However, there were no injuries reported.
The fire marshal was investigating the cause of the fire.
No further details were released.
